Point-to-Point WiFi or PtP WiFi is a very good option for extending WiFi Internet to a remote location such as an Outbuilding, Garden Office, or Cabin which is too far distance from the main router. The broadcasting distance for Point-to-Point WiFi can be as little as 10m range all the way up to 7 miles depending on the scenario. You might need to share your WiFi Connection with another Building or Outbuilding 100's meters away and cabling is just impractical. The latest Point-to-Point WiFi provides amazing technology with a Powerful Performance that's a winning solution. With secure transfer speeds up to 1GB that can satisfy even the most demanding requirements.
To achieve a great Point-to-Point WiFi Installation it is important to have a CLEAR line of sight between the two buildings that you wish to link. WiFi Point-to-Point devices can be wall mounted externally or at height on a roof or on a pole. Firstly a Wired device (AP) is added to your network that Broadcasts the signal to the remote location and then activates the receiver (Client) then from this end a LAN Network is created and can be connected directly to a Computer, Network Switch, WiFi Access Point or IP CCTV Cameras. The LAN can also be re-distributed from the Client end and used to send to another remote building for secure multi-LAN and WiFi Network across a large area.
With the introduction and expansion of High-Speed Fibre Optic Broadband and now Fibre to the Property FTTP in our London homes and offices, you may find you need to share your WiFi Internet access with different computers or devices. We supply and install small or large guaranteed and commissioned WiFi Distribution Systems that will connect your Workstations, PCs, Laptops, Smart TVs, and CCTV Camera Systems to your existing Wireless Network.
CAT6 Cabling
CAT6 cabling has so many positives and benefits over traditional CAT5e. When CAT6 was first introduced it was more expensive than CAT5e, which made it too expensive for many cabling installations. However, the costs have reduced substantially over the past years to the point where costs are almost matching. CAT6 provides greater bandwidth over CAT5e and allows for high-speed transfer rates. For this reason, CAT6 has become the minimum standard for any new cabling installations. As well as being able to support 1GBPS network speeds, CAT6 can also support higher Data rates of 10GBPS. However, 10GBPS is ONLY supported over shorter distances of between 37-55 meters depending on how the cable has been routed.
CAT6A Cabling
CAT6A is capable of supporting data transfer rates of up to 10GBPS to 100m and a maximum bandwidth of 500MHz. CAT6A has a lot more and tighter twists, with further insulation to reduce any crosstalk. CAT6A is backward compatible with both CAT6 and CAT5E. CAT6A has fast become the most affordable solution as it is seen as a future-proof for any cabling system. One of the main specific advantages of installing CAT6A infrastructure now is to future-proof the network. Therefore, if the planned lifetime of a new cabling system is going to be five years or more, CAT6A definitely has to be the favored solution. Costs are slightly more than the standard Category 6 cable due to the increased shielding and diameter of the tightly twisted pairs and their insulation.
Ethernet Cabling
Ethernet Cable Installations are fitted with CAT6 cable as standard unless there's a specific need or requirement for CAT6A. Category 6 cable is more than qualified to handle the fast pace of any Gigabit network and supports Future data transfer speeds of up to 10GBPS. CAT6 Ethernet Cabling provides a High-Speed Gigabit data transfer from your main Router or Gigabit Switch to another location with 100% No speed Loss even over 100m plus distances. Its superior capabilities make it suitable for HD Video Conferencing, 4K Streaming, Online Gaming, and CCTV cameras. Making it the first choice for High-Speed cable solutions today.
Sky Q Data Cabling
Sky Q is a great system but comes with issues with downloads and connection errors due to its 5Ghz mesh communication system. Luckily this can be corrected due to the ethernet port on Sky Q boxes. In most cases, good quality Data Cabling between the Sky Q Main and any other Sky Q Mini box fixes the communication and connectivity instantly. Data cabling to a Sky Q Main directly from the router resulted in up to 5x faster download speeds which resolved errors with Netflix and issues with APP streaming services. Sky Q Boxes are installed to communicate via their own mesh by default, which through solid structure and appliances becomes weak. If your Sky Q Main is connected via WiFi and you have Mini Boxes also, this can drain WiFi bandwidth and cause connectivity issues between Sky Q Main and the mini boxes and can also cause problems for other WiFi devices.
Fibre Optic Cabling
Fibre Optic Cabling transmits huge amounts of data at very high speeds and is widely used in internet cables. Compared to traditional copper cables, Fibre Optic cable is a lot less bulky, much lighter, more flexible, and easier to maintain and install than traditional Category cables. It carries a lot more data over far longer distances up to 20km. Networking between single buildings, and across nearby structures have been made so much more workable and 10 times faster. Fibre Optical Cabling has become the backbone for the largest and busiest Data Networks where speed, delivery, and the amounts of data transferred are essential.
Benefits of Cabling
Benefits of Cabling have changed over the years as technology has become an important part of everyday life. Whether it's a Smart TV, Next-Gen Console, PCs, Laptops, or even our heating and security systems all require a NETWORK connection. Although WiFi is a great part of modern-day technology it doesn't quite match the speeds of a gigabit wired network. Smart TVs, PCs, and Laptops and their applications such as Sky Q, Netflix, Disney, Zoom, Teams, or any kind of video conferencing or online gaming, run much more efficiently and up to 10x faster using a good quality cable connected directly to an ISP's router or gigabit switch. The results of using Cabling for your Internet devices are NO disconnects, buffering, audio distortion, or loss of signal. Being constantly connected to a Router or Switch by a cable provides a seamless permanent trouble-free high-speed secure connection.
